property to protect the investment of our partners.
The following is a list of patents issued and licensed to Trivac:
United States Patent RE39,435
- Title: Learning System with Learner-Constructed Response Based program Patent
- Abstract: A methodology in which a learner-constructed response is provided in answer
to a question presented by the system, the response being evaluated by comparison with pre-defined expected
responses and, based upon the evaluation, the system determining whether to proceed to another question
or to offer remedial feedback. Such a learner-constructed response based evaluation methodology greatly
reduces the potential for "guess-work" based correct responses and improves the training process through
remedial feedback and advancement upon demonstration of knowledge.
United States Patent 5,616,033
- Title: Speed Learning System Computer Based Training
- Abstract: A training system including a visual display, a computer, a mouse and a keyboard
for data entry into the system, such data entry including problems presented as situations/simulations
tailored to the particular type of training to be conducted together with trainee responses to questions
relating to such situations/simulations. Provision is made for the trainees to prepare and record their
own narrative solutions to such situations/simulations, following which, the system presents sets of
multiple choice solutions and asks the trainees to select what they believe are the best solutions from
among those that are presented. The system then critiques trainee selections. For each situation/simulation,
if the optimum solution has been selected, the system identifies the reasons why that selection is optimal
and repeats the related situation/simulation at least once more after moving on to another situation/simulation
before the training session is completed. If the optimum solution has not been selected, the system
repeats its request for identification of the optimum solution, critiquing each answer until the correct
one has been selected.
United States Patent 6,585,520
- Title: Method and System for Enhancing Memorization by Using a Mnemonic Display
- Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for enhancing a memorization process by
using a mnemonic display implemented with a grid learning system. First, the grid learning system is
implemented on a predetermined display area of a display device with a plurality of aligned border sections
to form the mnemonic display, the border sections containing one or more guiding elements in a predetermined
order. When one or more learning entities to be memorized by a user of the mnemonic display are identified,
the learning entities are placed in the grid learning system, wherein the first guiding element contained
in each learning entity is aligned with a same guiding element in at least one border section, and wherein
the locations of the learning entities with reference to the corresponding border sections assist the
user to memorize the learning entities.

- Title: Lock-In Training System
- Abstract: A Lock-In Training system. The Lock-In Training system can include an appropriately
programmed Web site and a user computer. The Lock-In Training system can also include an appropriately
programmed stand-alone computer. Some embodiments of the invention allow student users to efficiently
learn materials by taking Lock-In Training courses. A Lock-In Training course may include one or more
Lock-In Training sessions. These sessions may include one or more Lock-In Training parts. These parts
can include a group of questions and answers. The answers can include one or more keywords. A student
user can lock-in material by entering keywords in response to questions. The questions may be presented
in Introductory rounds and/or Retention rounds on one or more training days.

Learning Without
Retention is not Learning
When learning under traditional approachs, most students have retention levels of 5 to 10%. With Trivac's
learning program, our research data consistently shows that LIT's retention levels are over 500% more
effective than traditional methods.
